Doctorate of Professional Studies in Information Management

The School of Information Studies at Syracuse University has launched a part-time executive doctoral program for highly qualified middle level managers looking to boost their careers.

For current SLA members who apply to the program, Syracuse will waive the GRE admissions requirement for any applicant with at least five years of professional experience in corporate, governmental or academic libraries. Additionally, Syracuse has offered to accept up to 15 credits of prior doctoral-level work from any qualified U.S. doctoral program in library science or a related field: this can reduce the tuition by about 40% in the first and second year of study for a student who has already accomplished some part- or full-time doctoral work in another program.
