Knowledge management (KM), a vital but often neglected aspect of competitive intelligence, can enhance CI practices and intelligence generation. If not practiced with critical awareness, KM activities can also create vulnerabilities for an organization. In this online course, participants will examine 1) how internal and external knowledge can be better harnessed to generate intelligence 2) techniques and issues in knowledge capture, access, creation, and application for each function of the Intelligence Process/Cycle 3) how KM can be effectively integrated into an organization's intelligence program/system 4) tools that facilitate KM in CI and 5) how to balance KM with your organization's defensive/counterintelligence needs.
