Free Reusable Water Bottles

SLA has purchased 3,000 water bottles to be handed out by the Pacific Northwest Chapter. Please stop by their hospitality booth, located near the SLA Registration Center, to get yours. First come, first served.  Imagine how many water bottles we will save!

Printed Materials Now on Recylced Paper

HQ has been working with its printing vendors to ensure that SLA brochures, mailers, postcards, etc. are printed on recycled paper.  Beginning with the Click Catalog in Q2, we will place a recycled logo prominently on all material printed with recycled paper.

Food Recycling

Both the Seattle Convention Center and the Sheraton hotel donate food where appropriate. The convention center has provided more than 24,000 meals to charities over the past year. SLA has historically had a clause in its contracts requesting the food be donated where appropriate.

Recyling Badges

At this year's conference, SLA will offer 20% recycled badge holders for attendees.  At the end of conference, there will be containers for the badges to be returned, so that they may be recycled.

And thanks to CAS, the tote bags that will be offered at registration are made from 65% recycled material.
