President's Video Part III: What To Expect From Your SLA Leaders

Inspired and strong leaders are the backbone of SLA.  Period.

I have said this many times before, but it bears repeating:

SLA could not provide the benefits, networking opportunities, and value-enhancing services that we do without the hundreds of dedicated volunteer leaders, including the elected SLA Board of Directors,  working on your behalf.

It's easy to forget that board members are volunteers-- people who donate their time, talent and expertise.  All of them have to rearrange schedules, give up free time and be ready to roll up their sleeves and work.  Their only compensation is the recognition they receive from you, their peers, and their own satisfaction in serving SLA members and their profession.  They inspire me each and every day.
