For the leaders who are joining us in Atlanta this week, thank you very much for investing in your future and SLA by attending the Leadership Summit in Atlanta. We're excited to interact with you! At the Leadership Summit, you'll learn not only how the association's initiatives and priorities will affect your chapter or division, but also how to develop a strategic plan for your chapter or division--a skill set that many employers are seeking in today's information professional.
Get prepared for the summit by viewing the schedule of meetings in advance. Please be advised there will be no Wi-Fi access in the meeting rooms during the summit. (To keep registration prices low and further our cost-saving efforts for 2012, it was decided it would not be financially prudent to spend $26,000 for this service.) The Georgia Chapter has a great wiki with tons of recommendations for summit attendees, including local Wi-Fi hotspots in the area. You can find the WI-FI information on the " Local Information" page. They will also share their warm southern hospitality and co-host a fabulous party at the Neiman Marcus Café on Thursday evening.
